Playing with toys such as baby dolls can lead children to use their imaginations while developing their social, emotional and language skills. Doll play activates brain regions that allow children to develop social processing skills like empathy. Doll play also helps to practice helping, sharing, nurturing and caring skills. Playing with dolls can even be useful in developing your child's sense of grooming and hygiene. Also great for imagination and creativity, doll play encourages children to create their own little imaginary worlds, encouraging emotional growth, and child development and promoting good mental health.
From classic wooden toys to pretend play, Melissa & Doug is an American manufacturer of children's toys that range from wooden puzzles, arts & crafts products, plush toys, and other exciting educational toys. Designed specifically to encourage children's learning through play, this top branded toy company empowers children to play freely. Thereby, sparking their love for imagination and creativity! Although best known for their wooden toys, they also make toys from fabric (like the giant stuffed animals from its plush toy collection), cardboard toys (like nesting blocks), and plastic toys (like barn animals).
