What are Smudge Sticks?
Smudging is the process of burning dried plants or other natural elements and then using the smoke to cleanse the self, objects, or even places. Smudge sticks have long been used in ancient purification rituals. They can be used for blessing and preparing a space, expelling negativity, for clearing and cleansing an environment, person or object and finding harmonious balance. The plants used are carefully selected, bunched, tied and dried with intent, wisdom and purpose. Smudging should be done with care, reverence and an attitude of love.
Smudging is a powerful practice for grounding and rebalancing your energy field, helping to dispel negative mental or emotional patterns, and uplifting the soul. It can also be used to refresh the atmosphere of a space, prepare a sacred area for healing or meditation, and cleanse personal items and crystals.
