Melavoid is a botanical cosmetic active made from the active fraction of Boerhavia diffusa root in a base of vegetal propanediol and water. It is a pale brown to brown liquid ingredient suited to water-based and emulsified skincare products where a plant-derived active is wanted in a ready-to-use format. Melavoid is soluble in aqueous systems, making it straightforward to work into serums, gels, creams, lotions, body milks and similar cosmetic formulations. It is commonly used in skincare concepts focused on a brighter, more even-looking skin tone and the appearance of dark spots.

♡ Why we love it: Melavoid gives formulators a plant-based route for more focused skincare concepts without making the ingredient list feel overly complicated. It offers a clear botanical identity, a practical water-soluble liquid format and strong alignment with modern natural formulation standards.
