A rainbow that never disappears, or flowers and jellyfish transformed into fantastic colours - it is in the eye of the beholder.
The childhood dream of a Japanese boy, Mr. Nobuhiko Ohata - "I want to create a rainbow that never disappears". A rainbow bubble with a rainbow glow that will never burst or disappear when touched. It took 15 years of craftsmanship to study the changes and proportions of light and shape produced when rotating, and even the pleasant sound produced when shaking was carefully designed. The patented "Rainbow Stick", which looks like a work of art, is a selection of The Wonder500 and is sold in major art galleries such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
A quiet marvel of light and motion, this authentic Prodia Rainbow Stick turns a single gesture into a shimmering, ever‑changing display. Fine, iridescent strips rise and fall around a transparent core, blossoming into a soft, bubble‑like wave that catches sunlight and indoor light alike. The effect is at once playful and soothing - an invitation to pause, spin, and watch colors ripple across a room.
This Rainbow Stick blends simplicity and artistry. Its slender form make it feel like a modern sculpture, yet its tactile movement and fleeting rainbows give it a warm, almost meditative charm. Because it’s beautiful on a windowsill, desk, or shelf, supported in sand or small pebbles, it works seamlessly in both contemporary and classic interiors, and also makes a thoughtful gift that’s unexpected and delightful - for children and adults alike.
Beyond its visual appeal, the Rainbow Stick has attracted international attention, with Prodia’s work shown at design and art events around the world - underscoring its status as more than a novelty, but a design object with genuine creative pedigree.
Ideal for moments of quiet reflection, casual wonder, or simply adding a subtle burst of color to a space, this is a small object that leaves a big impression.
The Rainbow Stick is made up of 48 thin strips with magical lights, a transparent stick in the middle, and a small bell hanging above it. When the transparent stick is rotated and twisted left and right by the fingertips, the thin slices are transformed into various shapes and light and shadows like bubbles due to the centrifugal force, and the crisp sound of bells is both healing and magical.
When adults and children play with it, their eyes sparkle and they are dazzled and forget the passage of time. It brings peace of mind and is a nostalgic toy for all ages.
