Elderberries are dried
Sambucus nigra
berries used in simmered teas, syrups, compotes, cordials and berry-forward kitchen projects. When heated, they
develop a deep colour and rich tangy flavour that pairs especially well with warming spices and citrus. This smaller
pack is well suited to trial batches, seasonal pantry making and home use where a large bulk size is not needed. The
berries are typically strained after simmering for a smoother result.
♡ Why we love it: Elderberries bring bold colour, full berry character and plenty of versatility to small-batch
kitchen projects. They are especially useful for home makers experimenting with decoctions, syrups and seasonal
blends.
