The Wilson Optix V2 Power 2026 is a round-shaped Padel Racket built for beginners and casual players who already have some racket sports behind them and want power, comfort and responsiveness. Its large sweet spot gives you a generous margin for error while you find your timing on court.
Wilson has a long history in racket sports, and the Optix V2 Power carries that experience into a straightforward Padel frame. The matte finish and Grey/Red colourway keep the look clean and understated, and every choice in the design is aimed at players still building their game rather than at seasoned competitors.
Inside the frame sits a low-density Core Foam, chosen for stable performance and a soft, comfortable feel at the moment of contact. Together with the large sweet spot of the round head, that comfort is what makes the Optix V2 Power an easy racket to spend a full session with while you are still finding your rhythm.
The frame is built around a Fibreglass Weave construction with a carbon reinforced frame, a combination Wilson uses for stability and responsiveness. That is a sensible pairing early on, because you want a frame that behaves the same way shot after shot while you are still building consistency.
The Optix V2 Power weighs 355 g with a 265 mm balance point. The 14 cm extended handle gives you extra leverage, makes two-handed backhands easier to play and adds to the racket's manoeuvrability, while Sharp Hole Technology across the face increases the bite you get on each stroke.
So if you are stepping into Padel with tennis or squash in your background and want a forgiving round frame that still rewards a committed swing, the Wilson Optix V2 Power 2026 is a comfortable and sensible place to start.
