REMOVABLE CABLE & CARRYING CASE
The Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus' outer packaging doubles as a carrying case to store the drives, and its cables, while traveling. By implementing a removable cable design we have been able to achieve a more compact product whilst generating less heat than drives with tethered cables. For productions using multiple drives this provides a more convenient way to keep them organized.
Tuff nano or Tuff nano Plus users can rest assured that not even 1M of water can harm your drives! Both devices can be fully immersed in water up to 1M for 30 minutes.
Pro Photographers can back-up their uncompressed RAW files faster than ever with a drive that can fit in their bag or pocket. In addition, filmmakers can even edit their 4K footage right off their back-up drive without the need for a powerful RAID.

ADVANCED POWER MANAGEMENT
With an emphasis on the environmental aspects, the CalDigit storage team developed a power management mechanism that monitors the traffic for both the internal NVMe SSD as well as the storage controller. When idle, the Tuff nano or Tuff nano Plus will stay in low power mode consuming much less power and prolonging the internal SSDs components as well as your laptop's battery life. This greatly reduces power consumption and is especially important when battery life is critical.
