Soft, precise and seriously capable — the Tenaya Aruma is built to shine when the climbing gets steep, technical and demanding.
The new Tenaya Aruma is a soft, sensitive performance shoe built for climbers who want precision on steep boulders, technical sport routes and modern gym climbing. It combines strong grip, great toe-hooking ability and a secure, adjustable fit, while still feeling surprisingly comfortable for an aggressive shoe. Early testers have praised it for its balance of sensitivity, control and all-round performance when things get technical.
The new Tenaya Aruma is built for climbers who want maximum sensitivity without giving up control, wrapping the foot in a soft, highly responsive shape that lets you read even the smallest features underfoot. Its aggressive profile, split sole and SXR Dynamics/RBRX tech work together to boost precision, adaptability and fluid movement on steep terrain, volumes and technical footholds. A super-sticky toe patch and Tenaya’s patented Draxtor closure system make toe hooks, quick adjustments and secure lockdown feel effortless, whether you’re climbing indoors or outside. What really sets the Aruma apart is how comfortably it delivers all that performance, with a fit designed to reduce toe pressure while still feeling precise and supportive. Early tester feedback points to a shoe that feels both soft and structured, with excellent rock feel, confident grip and the kind of control that shines on modern boulders and technical sport climbs. If you want a performance shoe that feels fast, precise and surprisingly comfortable for its class, the Aruma looks like one of Tenaya’s most exciting new releases.
