Bring a touch of the tropics to your plant collection with the stunning Bromeliad Aechmea, a bold yet easy-going tropical plant with plenty of architectural appeal. This eye-catching bromeliad forms a striking rosette of broad, silvery-green leaves, creating a natural cup that adds texture and structure to a leafy display.

These Tropical Wonders are ideal for both indoor and patio settings. Thriving in bright, indirect light, they require very basic care. Their hardy nature and adaptability make them an excellent choice for both newbie and old-hand plant enthusiasts. When grown indoors, they add an exotic touch to shelves, desks, or tabletops, while outdoor placement on a shaded patio creates a lush tropical accent.

When it comes to care, bromeliads are huge fans of humidity, so keep it high by either clustering with other houseplants or placing it in your bathroom or kitchen. Water it sparingly in its central cup, making sure to allow the soil to reach near dryness before its next drink, and let it bask in the admiration of your guests.

Unlike many flowering plants, the Aechmea's striking rosette provides lasting visual impact, making it a wonderful statement plant even when it isn't flowering. So consider pairing it with a simplistic planter to allow the foliage to really be the main focal point.

Please note: Bromeliads are not considered toxic.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to keep your bromeliad healthy and happy.

Water: Water into the rosette during warmer summer months, keeping this area hydrated. Let this well dry out in winter. Water also around the base of the plant, keeping it slightly moist but not waterlogged, and letting it dry out somewhat between watering. Reduce watering in winter.
Light: Medium to Bright indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause leaf burn.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity. Will appreciate misting. Brown leaf tips are the first indications of air that is too dry.
Feeding: Dilute balanced fertiliser once a month during the growing season (Spring / Summer).
