The M-Audio Forty Eighty isn’t just about hearing your music – it’s about experiencing it the way it was meant to be heard. Whether you’re in a home studio or a professional environment — these monitors deliver the performance and flexibility that producers have come to expect.
Whether you’re laying down heavy beats, tracking powerful lead guitar riffs, or crafting euphoric electronic adventures, the Forty Eighty monitors are clever production partners. Enjoy detailed and customizable sound that invites every element of your track to come to life. With these monitors, what you hear in your studio will sound outstanding in the club, on streaming platforms, and everywhere in between.
The Forty Series monitors are built to handle deep bass lines and crisp highs so you can keep track of your mix and deliver the smoothest transitions and fattest double drops with absolute precision. Whether you’re practicing your set or making a beat, your mix will sound tight and dynamic, giving you the confidence to push your mix to the max.
Mix engineers are familiar with the importance of precision and clarity, and that’s exactly where the Forty Series delivers. With professional-grade Burr-Brown analogue-to-digital conversion and DSP processing, you’ll hear every detail of your mix. These monitors create a clean and accurate representation of your sound, so you can make informed decisions and craft mixes that translate perfectly from car systems to club systems.
Looking to take a break during a mix session, or just want to jam? The Forty Series allows you to do exactly that with Bluetooth 5.3 true wireless stereo (TWS) audio streaming. Simply connect any device and fill your space with rich sound. No cables, no hassle – just seamless, immersive, and accurate sound.
We appreciate the time and precision that goes in to delivering a perfected final mix down, but we also understand that music is enjoyed outside of a perfectly treated acoustic room. To address this, we designed a simple front panel button that allows you to easily switch from a ruler-flat mix reference to HYPE mode that emulates a mix common in ear buds and car stereos. Beyond that, experiment with a custom mode where you can specifically define all parameters of your sound with the M-Audio Forty Series Control App
Our app gives you the power to shape your sound as you see fit. Access customizable presets and a 5-band EQ to tweak your output to match your room, and your preferences via the front panel Instant Listening Modes. Rear panel trim control lets you dial in your XLR and TRS analog inputs to ensure you can integrate these monitors seamlessly into any studio setup.
